IRTG Retreat 2025 in Frankfurt

On 25–26 June 2025, our IRTG members came together for the annual IRTG Summer Meeting at Goethe University Frankfurt. The two-day event provided an excellent opportunity for PhD candidates as well as postdoctoral researchers to present their scientific progress, exchange ideas across research groups, and strengthen connections within the graduate program.

The meeting started with scientific progress reports, followed by fruitful discussions and valuable feedback from fellow PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to the research presentations, participants could choose between several interactive workshops covering topics such as stress management, career perspectives after the PhD, and poster presentation skills.

Beyond the scientific program, the meeting also offered plenty of opportunities for networking. A relaxed pizza and pub quiz evening on the first day, followed by a dinner in a typical Frankfurter restaurant on the second evening, encouraged conversations and promoted collaborations across research groups.

We thank all speakers, workshop organizers, and participants for making the IRTG meeting in Frankfurt in summer 2025 a successful and inspiring event. We are already looking forward to the next IRTG meeting!
