We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher in the Bassermann lab at the Department of Medicine III: Hematology/Oncology, Klinikum der Technischen Universität München (TUM Klinikum). Our group investigates molecular drivers of various cancer types, such as B-cell malignancies, acute leukemias and lung cancer, and emphasizes on the role of ubiquitin-dependent signaling and other post-translational modifications regulating tumor-related processes. Our research also pioneers targeted protein degradation approaches—like PROTACs and molecular glues—to identify and therapeutically target cancer-specific vulnerabilities.
🔹 What we offer:
- High-impact, translational research with strong focus on clinical implications
- Access to state-of-the-art facilities and strong collaborative networks
- A supportive, dynamic and international lab environment – located at the heart of Munich.
🔹 Your profile:
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field with a strong background in cancer biology, cell signaling, or translational research and a substantial publication record
- Experience with biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g. proteomics, CRISPR, flow cytometry, etc.)
- Motivation to work independently and to supervise students in an interdisciplinary, collaborative team
- Very good/excellent proficiency in English
📅 Start date: Flexible
