Targeted proteasomal degradation of m6A-reader proteins in colorectal carcinoma

Compound-based Application

Project Summary

In our proposal, we will generate cutting-edge proteolysis targeting chimeras (PROTACs) that leverage the endogenous ubiquitin-proteasome system to selectively degrade reader proteins that bind methylated (m6A) RNA . We will use these chemical tools to investigate the impact of m6A reader protein loss on colorectal cancer cell viability. Mechanistically, we will investigate the crosstalk between the MYC oncoprotein and m6A-RNA recognition.
